On 1st January 1819, Gray’s Hospital opened to provide care for the people of Elgin and the county of Moray
Over 200 years later, as Dr Gray's, it continues to provide comprehensive care for over 100,000 people in Moray and West Aberdeenshire
Friends of Dr Gray’s was set up in 2018 to support and enhance the experience of patients and staff and promote community involvement
Following the successful restoration and repair of Dr Gray's iconic clock (photo diary here) in September 2020, and significant changes on the Committee at the end of 2021, our current project is to provide LED lighting with programmable colours for the front of the original building, to highlight the magnificent facade and also mark the various 'disease awareness' days throughout the year.
