These photos were taken by Alex Tait, now retired from the Estates Dept, during the building of Phases 1 and 2 between 1992 and 1994, and we are very grateful to him for sharing them with us. He clearly made full use of his access to great vantage points on the original building, which remained in more or less full use for the entire time despite its proximity to such a major excavation!
